About Sphere
Over $45 trillion in U.S. retirement assets remain invested in traditional market indexes that include significant fossil fuel exposure, despite growing investor demand for climate-conscious investment options. Sphere was built to provide advisors, consultants, and retirement plan participants with transparent, low-cost investment solutions designed to align long-term retirement investing with a changing global economy.
Over the past four years, Sphere has achieved placement across major retirement platforms, including Charles Schwab, Vanguard, and Fidelity Investments. As we continue expanding distribution of our flagship strategy and upcoming target date fund suite, we are seeking a DCIO Internal Sales Wholesaler and Community Manager to help drive growth across the defined contribution marketplace.
This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven, high-growth firm at a pivotal stage of expansion and help shape the future of retirement investing.
Role Summary
The DCIO Internal Sales Wholesaler & Community Manager will serve in two complimentary capacities.
First, they will partner closely with external sales professionals to support Sphere’s growth within the institutional retirement marketplace. This individual will help deepen relationships across the DCIO ecosystem, identify new sales opportunities, support advisor engagement initiatives, and contribute to the development of scalable sales and development of CRM processes.
Second, they will serve as a primary relationship manager for inbound interest from retirement plan participants, advisors, and prospective partners, helping educate stakeholders, capture demand signals, and create pathways for broader fund access. They may also manage incoming interest from plan participants seeking education on sustainable investing options and guidance on how retirement investment menus are evaluated.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building infrastructure, creating repeatable processes, and helping shape a growing distribution organization. It will require a consultative sales mindset, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate has experience within retirement plan distribution, understands intermediary sales channels, is aligned with Sphere’s mission of expanding access to transparent, sustainable investment solutions, and is comfortable engaging advisors and plan participants through proactive outreach, virtual meetings, and ongoing relationship development.
